What makes this place stand out:

One World Spokane is a non profit organic community kitchen. Get your food buffet style from the friendly volunteers and chefs that help staff the restaurant, then pick your portions. (Reduce waste by not choosing more than what you will eat.) When you are done pay for your meal with a donation. Suggested prices are listed.

Those who can't afford a meal will be provided a complimentary dish. Two soups a day are served, one is always vegan. The spread of fresh salads, a variety of hot dishes, and of course a few desserts, including the 'everything cookie' are all items you can't find anywhere else. Follow the twitter account for menu offerings, but, if you really want to understand this place, just go in and try it. As you can tell this isn't Granny's Buffet. Look for a mural on the south side of the road near the Eco Depot.
