What makes this place stand out:

While a strip mall in the Latah Valley might sound like a strange place to find a continental European style bistro, that is exactly where Latah Bistro is located. The restaurant specializes in using local ingredients, and mainly utilizes sources from or around Spokane.

Few restaurants in the area rotate their specials as often as Latah Bistro does, so you will often find new and seasonally fresh dishes to sample alongside mainstay favorites like the French onion soup and the pumpkin bread pudding.

On Mondays their rather impressive selection of wine is half price off the bottle, and the same goes for martinis on Thursdays.

From the owners or chefs:

It always sounds so canned to talk about your own restaurant with smooth ad verbiage so instead we will just tell you like it is. Latah Bistro is the creation of my wife Heather and I. We are not a large corporate restaurant. We are small, uniquely located and eclectic with a warm casual vibe like a Bistro you would find in Italy, France or Spain. Our food is fancy but your pants don't have to be.

Sure, we could make more money buying canned or frozen cheap food and saucing it up but that's not our style. We buy the best fresh food we can find, usually from nearby farms that we have long standing relationships with, and we prepare that food from scratch with simplicity and creativity in a delicious Bistro style.

The culinary team is unsurpassed; experienced, open-minded, experimental and highly productive. Our servers have been around and we ask them to behave. They usually do, and seem to pull it off with an upbeat informative yet casual style. Wine / Maritnis / Beer - the wine list we offer is huge with a crazy commitment to finding values and being unique and we also have spirits and micro brews on tap.

Every Wednesday night we have free live music - sometimes it's us because we used to be touring musicians. We have an outside patio, free parking and easy front door drop off along with a private dining room available for groups up to 25.

Hope you visit soon.
