What makes this place stand out:
De Leon's two spots do things a bit differently than most other Mexican restaurants around town. Instead of being sit-down eateries, they are delis, where you walk up and make your order from a selection of tacos, burritos, tortas, many based on guisos (stewed meats). More standard fares like carne asada and carnitas are available, though the fun often lies in picking some of their more unique items, be it the mole poblano or brisket. Their tortillas can be bought in various sized packs.
The Northside location also features a large selection of Mexican groceries and bakes goods.
